First Lutheran Christian School has strong commitment and support from the congregation as its major ministry and outreach to the community. The mission statement of the school “In partnership with home and church and by the grace of God, we are committed to helping students learn and develop skills that will enable them to be effective citizens of this world and heirs of glory with our Lord Jesus Christ,” dovetails nicely with the mission statement of the church, “The mission of First Lutheran Church is to grow together in Christ through prayer, worship and education and to spread the love of Christ to our community.”
The purpose of First Lutheran Christian School is to provide students of all ethnic and religious backgrounds with a challenging and competitive education based on Christian values and doctrine and instill in each student a commitment to service in the community. While daily instruction in the Christian faith is based on the doctrines and teachings of the LCMS, we welcome students and parents of all denominations and faith traditions. It is the intent of First Lutheran School to prepare its students for a lifetime of leadership and service in the secular world, and a life in eternity with Jesus Christ.
