Expected School-wide Learning Results

ESLRs are our goals for what each student should know, understand and be able to do upon exit from First Lutheran School.

1. Have a strong understanding and knowledge of Bible stories, verses and doctrine with a focus on church participation, Bible study and daily devotions
2. Demonstrate the ability to make positive choices following moral and Christian ethics

1. Develop problem solving and critical thinking skills
2. Be able to effectively communicate in oral and written form
3. Be proficient users of technology
4. Be educated in fine arts

1. Use the fruits of the Spirit to develop strong character skills including:integrity, perseverance and responsibility (the “fruits of the Spirit” are those listed by the apostle Paul in Galatians 5:22-23a, They are the desired character traits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.)
2. Be positive individuals ready to meet life’s challenges with joy and confidence

1. Understand and respect others and cultural diversity here and abroad
2. Be problems solvers with the ability and initiative to work independently and cooperatively
3.Be active in communities exhibiting responsible citizenship

1. Recognize and develop an understanding of health, hygiene, diet, and exercise
2. Develop large and small motor skills through physical activity
